Mill Gardens & Bergen New Bridge

We are proud to announce that Mill Gardens has partnered with New Jersey’s largest hospital, Bergen New Bridge Medical Center! This partnership will allow access to a wide array of quality services that will enhance what we can do for you and the services and support we can offer to you.

Bergen New Bridge Medical Center (BNBMC), located in Paramus with satellite locations throughout Bergen County, is a clinical affiliate of Rutgers University. The Medical Center is both the largest hospital and licensed nursing home in New Jersey providing high-quality comprehensive services, including acute and ambulatory care, mental health and substance use disorder treatment, long-term care, 24/7 emergency department, surgical suites, physical rehabilitation, pharmacy, laboratory, and radiologic services (including digital mammography).

Many Mill Gardens residents may recall that Bergen New Bridge provided a tremendous service to the Mill Gardens community during the height of the COVID Pandemic by providing us vital on-site COVID testing and laboratory services. During this time, they demonstrated their high-quality clinical and administrative expertise to us first-hand. In addition to that, their reputation in senior care is exceptional and they have been recognized for two years in a row as a Best Nursing Home by Newsweek. It is clear to us that the depth and breadth of the services the Medical Center offers will directly benefit all Mill Gardens residents.

Other than that, the characteristics that have made Mill Gardens special for 22 years will of course remain as you know them: your home, your staff, your activities, and your services. This relationship will simply add to what we already provide.

We are excited for our future with this new partnership!

The Milestones Continue

We are very excited to be providing so many aspects of our active lifestyle to residents while still maintaining our high standards of infection control around the community. We have mandated the COVID-19 vaccine for our staff members and currently we are proud to share that 100% of our residents and 100% of staff who interact with residents are fully vaccinated. This major highlight has helped us to balance other components of infection control with further enjoyment for our residents throughout the day.

(Full) Dining Room Grand Re-Opening!

Thanks in large part to the above highlights, we were able to reopen communal dining a few months ago. We took this exciting action in steps, starting with lunches and then adding breakfasts as well. As of yesterday, we have added the final component: dinner!

Our culinary program has always been a major focus of our community and we are beyond excited to return to a full restaurant-dining experience. In typical Mill Gardens fashion, we celebrated this event with an extra-special evening menu (a “Surf & Turf” of Lobster Tail & Filet Mignon being just one of the highlights) as well as other added festivity.

More updates to come! As always, please feel free to call us with any questions about our updates or other aspects of our community 201-493-7400.

Happy Holidays & vaccine Updates

The Festivity is in the air!
Our Activities Staff and others have been spreading the cheer with holiday décor and more the past few weeks!  We’ve added a small glimpse of what they’ve done so far below, and we will add more pictures in the coming week.

An Update on COVID-19 Vaccines:
Mill Gardens has been in communication with residents, family members, and staff about our vaccine plan as the federal government and health agencies prepare to roll it out. We were encouraged to hear that all residents and employees will be prioritized for COVID-19 vaccine availability. We have already been registered with the participating pharmacies and we are fine-tuning the details on the specific scheduling as we speak.
